Do you believe in fairytales?
Those mystical, wonderful stories,
About pirates and princesses,
And fighting for the maiden's hand?
Do you believe in those fables?
Your elders talked on and on about?
Of fairy god mothers and magical pumpkins,
Of love and happily ever after?
Not my best, I know. But I hope you enjoy it anyway.
i wish i could believe, but life had kicked my head out of the clouds and into reality.in too young to be in reality yet.im not ready.
Thank you so much.
I love it
Very nice poem, and I like watching fairy tales especially when it's Disney
As do I. ^^ What are your favourites?
Surprisingly, I found the whole approach a condescension of the fairlytales from an adult point of view. At the same time, I strongly feel that the second stanza gets the point through so far as the whole point of fairytales being clearly defined imaginary creations is concerned. Its a good poem, and its a simple read. Well done.
