Calm

       I've been told
       I am the calm
       Inside my loved one's
       Storms.
 

       A steady presence
       That will always
       Be there to 
       Pick them up.

       
       A hug 
       When they
       Have
       No one else.

      
       A hand
       To hold
       In the midst 
       Of a hurricane.


       I thought once,
       That it wasn't
       In the least bit
       Important.


       But being a
       A calming
       Caring
       Friend,


       It's what
       I was
       Created
       To be.
